Questi gioielli colorati sono nati per valorizzare ciò che spesso è considerato rifiuto.
Sarebbe stato un peccato sprecare questi contenitori usa e getta dai colori sgargianti, soprattutto considerando il loro breve ciclo vita.
Nei miei progetti di Reuse cerco di non modificare l’estetica dei prodotti originali (finitura e colore) in modo che resti visibile la loro origine o “vita” precedente.

CMYK jewels are handmade accessories built with exhausted ink cartridges.
Even if we just need liquid ink, we end up buying a product made of plastic wrapped in film and sold in a paper box. And we pay for this unnecessary packaging, so why throwing it all away after use? Some cartridge components are super coloured, rigid, light and easy to manufacture. Cyan, magenta, yellow and black are the original plastic colours that inspired the project and its name. CMYK jewels try to raise awareness of upcycling: Think twice before getting rid of products that could have a precious second life, even more valuable than the previous one!
